the leather clutch bag, has been cut from a supple full grain 2.7mm vegetable tanned, washed and tumbled cordovan leather, with an incredible array of texture, a waxy pull up and a rotten corpse flat matte black dye treatment.

vegetable tanned leather is an ancient artisanal process that hinges on the delicate balance between timing and temperature. like a fine aged whiskey time is key, the careful balance of time allows the natural tannins such as tree bark to infuse, yielding rich colours and unparalleled durability. controlled cooling plays a crucial role in achieving that coveted texture and suppleness you come to expect.

crafted with a triple piece pattern the bag features deconstructed side panels with our adaptation of the overlock stitch connects the side panels with each individual stitch meticulously implemented by hand in a tonal 0.65mm hand waxed japanese linen thread over a 30 hour period without the use of machines.

the unlined interior showcases the flat hammered side seams that sit in juxtaposition to a double patch pockets that feature a vertical riri zipper fastening adorned with a hand forged zipper pull. a small leather loop with a military clip allows you to clip on keys or hold a keychain. the pockets are large enough to store smartphones, glasses and wallets.

a full length riri zipper closure is backed with a butter soft 1.2mm vegetable tanned horse culatta for added durability. the zipper is adorned with custom hand forged zipper pulls, mimicking the textured landscape of the leather. 

the center spine wraps around from the base, forming a minimal carry handle to the rear and housing the hand forged iron shank used for the front closure. the bag is large enough to hold a 14” macbook.
