DATE: Antique French, c.1900 

The sweetest enamel slide locket charm, French and dating to the turn of the century, circa 1900. The front features the words "Les Trois Roses" or "The Three Roses" above an enamel depiction of a gorgeous rose. This slides to one side, revealing another enamelled rose, and again to a little locket compartment. The three roses, 1,2 and your three. A lovely sentiment, and the locket compartment features a pink fabric insert. 

Victorian jewellery often includes floral motifs, as part of their "Language of Flowers", whereby each flower or plant represented some romantic or emotional sentiment. In this case, Roses for Love.
